Privacy Policy
Level Up is a self-development application that helps users track habits, work through structured exercises, and reflect on personal patterns. This policy explains what information the app handles and how that information is protected.
The short version: Level Up is a fully offline application. It does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Information stored on your device
To function as a habit tracker and workbook, Level Up saves the following information locally on your device — never on any server, and never shared with anyone:
- The hero name you choose
- Your level, XP, and player stat ratings
- The habits you create and the dates you mark them complete
- Boss assessments and combat history
- Any responses you write in workbook exercises and journal prompts
- Your custom boss configurations, if you create any
- Your notification reminder preferences (if you enable them)
Information we do NOT collect
The app does not collect, request, transmit, or share:
- Your name, email, phone number, or any other identifier
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Photos, files, or any other content from your device
- Analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry
- Advertising identifiers
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking libraries.
Internet access
Level Up does not require an internet connection to operate. The app does not connect to any server we control. The only network usage is standard Android system behavior (e.g. when delivering local notifications you have scheduled). No personal data is sent over the internet by the application.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder, the app uses Android's built-in local notification system to remind you at the time you set. The notification stays on your device — it is not routed through any external server. You can turn reminders off at any time inside the app, or in your phone's system Settings.
Children's use
Level Up is intended for users aged 18 and over. The application is not designed for, marketed to, or appropriate for children. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that a minor is using the app, please uninstall it and contact us at the email below.
Deleting your information
Because all data stays on your device, you can permanently delete every piece of information the app holds by:
- Uninstalling Level Up (this erases all locally stored data), or
- Opening your device's Settings -> Apps -> Level Up -> Storage -> Clear data.
There is no account to close because the app does not use accounts.
Not a medical device
Level Up is a self-development tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional mental health treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. In the United States, you can reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line.
Changes to this policy
If material changes are made to this policy, an updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. The application itself does not have a mechanism to push policy updates to users — please check this page periodically if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
